Tenacious Tales on Tall Ships

Posted on March 26, 2019

I’m looking forward to launching my 2019 sponsored storytelling quest this weekend.

Telling Tenacious Tales on Ten Tall Ships

In the run up to 2020 The Year of Scottish Coasts & Waters I am gathering seafaring stories to share for free with coastal communities. My challenge is to tell tales on ten tall ships in 2019 and my first vessel is a fine one and a great Fun Day out: HMS Unicorn in Dundee!

Storyteller Jan Bee Brown

I also be gathering stories of tenacity and challenging adversity along the way and will share these with you as I sail along.

I will be volunteer crew on The Lord Nelson with the fabulous charity Jubilee Sailing Trust in July in Norway where I hope, with the help of the Tall Ships Race, to tell stories on as many tall ships that I can board!

If you know a tall ship or a coastal community or a nautical charity that would like to hear some stories or share their own then just let me know!

My sponsorship page at Just Giving is one way of helping me share these stories or alternatively you could come to my family friendly show ‘Worse Things Happen at Sea’ for nasty nautical tales at The Scottish Storytelling Centre on Easter Saturday and put your gold doubloons in my bilge bucket.
