Leaving Home, Away Being and Coming Home
Posted on November 21, 2014
As curator at The Thrive Archive I am currently busy working on our pilot project Coming Home. The first phase of the project will conclude with a ‘gatherin’ in Edinburgh on January 4th to showcase our new music commission from Scottish composer and musician Mike Vass funded by Enterprise Music Scotland. Mike and I have been working with the amazing young musicians of Edinburgh Youth Gaitherin Big Band who recently supported the fabulous Kathleen MacInnes at The Queens Hall in Edinburgh. I am looking for funding to support the phase 2 – a series of flash-mob pop-up performances in villages, cities and festivals throughout Scotland in 2015. This project was inspired by Ian Paterson and John Maher’s photographs from their Leaving Home exhibtion in 2013.
The ripples of collaborative process are starting to spread- Ian is now working on a new portrait series inspired by our project and I have a creative residency at Edinburgh Palette for a month in December to curate Away Being – a pop-up exhibition exploring the three questions: What does coming home mean to you? How does leaving home make you feel? and What makes Scotland feel like home?
I think that side effects of finasteride can be reduced if there is a great desire side effects of propecia certainly will not be wasted. At the time when the first symptoms appear the desire passes.
