Pirates of Penzance
My second show for Artistic Director Chris Monks at the SJT, a modern take on G&S!
Storm Force
My third ‘home grown’ show for Scarborough Art Gallery mixed contemporary fine art, textile art and Scarborough’s collection of storm paintings. We got funding to restore Earnest Roe’s oil painting of the famous storm of 1880 and Len Tabner and Professor Annie Shaw provided their contemporary twist whilst Scarborough Lifeboat’s crew chose their favourite paintings. There was something for everyone in the community. Photo credit: Tony Bartholomew
Pete McKee and The Everley Pregnant Brothers
For Coastival 2011 I curated Pete McKee’s show ‘A Month of Sundays’ it was the highlight of my year to enable Pete’s ukele band to play to a packed house in Scarborough Art Gallery.
The Half
I had make-up mirrors made by the Stephen Joseph Theatre and Charles Fox sponsored the make-up for a truly theatrical experience at Scarborough Art Gallery
Nutcracker Prince
Working with Adam Sunderland and Andrew Pollard was fantastic, the show was magical.
Dear Uncle, a translation of Uncle Vanya by Sir Alan Ayckbourn
Set in the Lake District in the 1930′s this was a glorious production to design with a stella cast directed by Sir Alan at The Stephen Joseph Theatre. All photos by Tony Bartholomew. “The furniture is just right, costumes are scrumptious and the lighting is classically simple. This production is a total joy.” Observer
