As a textile artist, curator and theatre designer Jan Bee Brown has developed a series of talks and lectures. The talks are aimed at degree students and life long learners but can be adapted for key stage 3 students of design and technology, drama and art. The talks can include a digital presentation, handouts, research aids and recommended reading list as well as a chance to handle some historical textiles and costume drawings or try a textile technique.
Jan Bee can also tailor a bespoke lecture on a particular collection of paintings, costumes or artists. Talks last 40 minutes with time for questions. Call 07799852162 for prices, availability and to discuss your learning objectives.
Practical workshops in drawing and textile art are also available at your place or mine! Workshops can be hosted at Woodend Creative Industries here in Scarborough or at your own school or community rooms.
Drawing and a sense of fun underpins my own artistic practice so each master-class will be unique and varied depending on class size, duration and ability.
