With an eye for the dramatic Jan Bee discovers and interprets stories from lost and unloved collections.  Bringing local history alive by mixing contemporary artists with historical paintings and museum objects to create fresh and original bespoke exhibitions with a human touch on a small budget.

My passion is for crossing boundaries in the arts, and interpreting historic context with new vision. I am happiest when creating opportunities for contemporary artists and craft makers to engage with and be inspired by local cultural heritage for new audiences. With my creative talents and diverse experience I think outside the box and have strong connections within the artists and arts organisations in North Yorkshire.
